2.1 Account Information (via Google Sign-In)

When you create an account or sign in using Google OAuth 2.0, we receive the following information from your Google account:

  • Email address – used for account identification and communications
  • Full name – displayed in your account profile
  • Profile picture – displayed as your avatar
  • Google account ID – used to uniquely identify your account

We only request the minimum permissions necessary from Google. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services. You can review and revoke our access at any time via your Google Account Permissions.

2.2 Account Information (via Email)

If you register with an email address and password, we collect:

  • Email address – for account creation, login, and communications
  • Password – stored as a securely hashed value (never in plain text)

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data: Login times, features used, download counts, and session activity
  • Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and language settings
  • Cookies and similar technologies: Used to maintain your session, remember preferences, and improve your experience

2.4 Photo Files You Upload

When you upload a photo for passport/ID photo processing, we temporarily store it on our servers to perform the requested operations (background removal, cropping, sizing, etc.). Uploaded photos are automatically and permanently deleted after processing is complete, or within 24 hours at most. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than providing the Service.

2.5 Payment Information

If you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We receive only a transaction reference and your Stripe customer ID from Stripe. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our passport and ID photo services
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To process Pro subscription payments and manage billing
  • To enforce usage limits for free accounts
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, subscription receipts) via Resend email service
  • To improve our services, fix bugs, and develop new features
  • To respond to your support requests and inquiries
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.

  • Service providers: With trusted third parties (Google, Stripe, Resend) as described in Section 4, solely to provide the Service

  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred to the successor entity, with prior notice to affected users

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion
  • Uploaded photos: Deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial laws
  • Usage logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: View your account information through your user profile at any time
  • Correction: Update your profile information; Google-linked name/avatar can be updated via your Google account
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected]
  • Data portability: Request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format
  • Revoke Google access: Disconnect our app from your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions
